8" Powered Subwoofer Mod?

I don't think this is possible with frequency blockers but here it is. I have a 4.1 sound system in my beater and my 12" sub has the most awful high-range lows I've ever heard (Mofo 124x - yep, you warned me). I have a Dual SBP8A (8") powered sub that preceded the upgrade to this 12" and the higher range off that setup was pretty slick. I'd now like to incorporate the powered 8" into the mix to get an even range throughout the lower tonal spectrum. However, I don't need the 8 to push those low Hz the 12 is taking care of.

Is it possible, with a self powered sub, to modify it so the crossover could specifically fall within the 80-120hz range exclusively? I've had the hardware for months but put audio on the back burner due to my POS car ******* big hazelnuts.
