2005 and newer C6 corvettes with Bose have 10" woofers in the door. I replaced mine with a thin Blaupunkt subwoofer. Anything under 120hz would rattle like crazy but after some work they offered amazing midbass.

I hate hearing my speakers, especially my MB's in my doors. I'm pretty much sold on lower excursion drivers for dedicated midbass duty. Bigger isn't better if they are constantly messaging your legs giving their location away.
