8" dust caps

@zedicus; would it be possible to use cheaper material such as regular mat or.cheaper carbon mat on the first few layers and theyn do the final layer in the bright blue mat like i linked? seems like it would cut cost greatly..let me know ..thanks

if done carefully 1 or 2 layers should be plenty for a dust cap. its only gotta be air-tite and its not an overly structural item.

yeah, i still gotta make up a form or somethin first though. i think i have an old aluminum cone that might be about the right size to make a form out of.

the biggest domed piece i have that i can l make a form out of is 7.5" if anyone has a plastic dustcap that is 8" or pretty much anythi9ng i can use as a template that'd be grrreat.

I think psi has 8 " poly but idk how domed they are..iirc they dont have much dome to them ..maybe a old hub cap feom a junkyard?

@hispls; has 2 8" cf caps but they are in rough shape ..maybe u can use one for mold ...im sure he will send it to ya cheap

I have 2 different styles. Would share if we could work something out to make a mold for me as well. My CF ones aren't fit for making mold out of, but the original plastic ones would do nicely.

If you could donate a 8" poly to @zedicus; that would be greatly appreciated and maybe u can work something out with him ..i think theres a nice market for it since they arent readily available
