Hey everyone I'm about to order some new speaker wire for my subs now that I have the aq2200d on it's way. My brothers subs came with 10 gauge wire and they are rated at 1500 rms but I've had a lot of people tell me to get 8 gauge for mine which are only going to be getting around 1000 a piece so I'm just wondering what size you guys think I should go with 8 or 10 gauge? I'm going to be ordering from knukonceptz so it will be good ofc wire.

im gonna be running the same amp but i have a bunch of 12g sittin around. so could i just do 2 runs of 12g for the wiring or should i go out and buy some 10g which shouldnt be a big deal if i have to because im like 15min from knukonceptz pickup location

I think people forget sometimes that the voltage on the speaker outputs for amps is not 12v and is much higher, usually around 30 sometimes even 40v. Because of this you may only have 5-10A of current. Though, at the same time speaker wire is cheap enough so you might as well just grab the big stuff.
