For the meanwhile I'm going to run my dual 4 ohm sub on my 2 channel amp... it only handles 4 ohm mono...

the box I have for this only has one terminal... should I ...

1) Connect the coils in series... = 8 ohm... connect that as mono bridge?

2) Parallel them... turn my gains down a little and put a 2ohm mono bridge onto my amp..

amp = Clarion APX200.2

I think that amp has a sum switch doesnt it, to sum the input for a mono output. But if your box only has one terminal might as brigde it in 8ohms and call it good for now.

Yep... I just tried it out today... 8 ohm mono... sounds pretty good... only 100 watts rms approx on a mtx 8000 12 inch in a .7 cubic foot box (the entire box cost me 2 dollars ..... for materials and all lol)

hmmm I'm going to give 2 ohm mono a shot

how did it cost only $2?? it costs $3 for a piece of MDF wood to just cover one side of a box. The terminals costs atleast anohter $4.

I get my boards very cheap .... I know people that work in Home Depot and when I see an excess board they write up the price to whatver I want... for that box the board cost me 50 cents... terminal cost me 75 cents...
