Tuning with such a skinny port won't be accurate anyway. It will actually tune lower then what the calcs show.

Simply tuning to a number regardless of port area or desired results is a horrible idea though.

I just checked mine and its at like 38.4ish smdh. Still hit 26ish from itchin

To hit "low" you do not always have to "tune low". How the enclosure works with the vehicle will alter the response curve. I have done 40hz tuned enclosures but still able to play down into the low 20's. Just all about cause/effect.

And my OA15 is doing just fine! Coils still perfect! And you guys made me think that because I smelled a little something from my sub, that it was cooked....

When I took my box out, I realized I can't fit a bigger box into my trunk solely due to the fact that it will be too deep for the box to actually GO into the trunk....

I can fit a bigger box, but I don't have the vertical headroom to make the box get into my trunk in the first place...

You may be able to build another with the same dimensions, but with more port area. You really are missing out for as long as you continue using that enclosure. Its awful, lol. Also, as long as you turn it down or off as soon as you smell something, the coils are usually fine. I've smelled mine cooking several times and its the same cherry-ish color as yours.

My rear view mirror vibrates so much that on some high bass, you can't even use it, it moves too much!

My speaker covers move up and down like crazy!!

Even the outside window seals in the doors vibrate with all the Windows up!

I am still loud as ALL hell!

I snapped my rear view mirror 2 days ago, along with a visor clip. Guess your not that loud yet.

Ah, I miss that sub sometimes ;( truly great subs for the price. You really should build a new box with more port area, you would probably be suprised at the difference. Maybe a couple of 4" flared aeros would fit your needs.

For the price, they are hard to beat for a great sounding sub that gets loud. 600 watts and the proper enclosure and you won't be disappointed.

I've yet to see anyone say anything negative about them.

ive snapped the mirror off every vehicle ive had except for the blazer i have now. whats bad is my blazer is louder then all of my other vehicles. lol but ive snapped paneling and sh1t tho lol

You really need a better box...net volume "looks" to be alright, but you could double your port area and gain more output.
