I've spent 6 hours on my car so far.
-About 30 minutes to solder the wiring harnesses.
-3 hours putting the HU in my car (I had two stubborn screws that needed Apex tips and a lot of torque //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif )
-1 hour snaking my A/V cables through the car
one under seat = not too bad
one in trunk, kind of a PITA
-2 hours installing first amp under seat
grounded it
screwed it down
connect speaker wires
routed speaker wires to doors
-30 minutes connecting subwoofer to box and amp to box and amp to sub
And I still need to:
-Run power wire from battery though firewall (biggest nightmare)
-Solder 4ga wire to distro block while INSIDE my car (bought a 0/1 to 4ga distro so I gotta solder the 4ga to the 0/1 screw to get it to stay)
-Run power wire to both amps
-Sound deaden my trunk and possibly doors
-Get gains set right
-Put sub in trunk and bolt it down
-Drill holes in the doors for tweeters and get the midranges in too.
I dind't realize it would be this time consuming! It's not that difficulut, just tiring. Although I am having fun learning //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Everyone else I know goes to circuit city to buy Kenwood HU's, Sony Xplod subs, and Blaupunkt speakrs and gets them put in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
