7.5k watts, 2 door blazer sub options/opinions

This isn't a what sub thread, but looking to see what some of you would do. I have 3 orion 2500d's (2 already, 1 more coming,) for power that I want to run at ~1ohm. Electrical is 2 200 amp alts, 4 D34 blue tops, 200' 1/0. Will try that, will add more batts or upgrade alts later if needed. Also don't need to use all 3 amps, but it's an option (might also pick up a 4th). I don't compete and will be daily more or less. I want to wall it and kinda like the clamshell look. Don't know what the pros/cons are of either. So that would have a bearing on the sub setup as well. I am leaning towards the new AQ's, we'll see what the reviews are like on them. Also thought about trying DP's or maybe DC level 5s. What would you do? 2,3,4 amps? 12,15,18 or 21's?

Holy completely non-practical 'daily driver'. If you require 7500-10,000 watts, dual H.O. alts and like a 1,000 lbs of crap just to get your stereo loud enough for daily listening sessions, then you sort of fail at car audio.

IOW, a setup like this, while saying "I dont compete" is like someone asking which 18-wheeler semi they should buy to drive to school every day.

lol I agree. I'm currently running 1 15" bl, saz1500d in my jimmy and it's plenty loud for daily. I'll be adding a second 15" bl and strapped 1500d's. That's why I'm double thinking about how far I really need to go with my blazer. I won't have the backseat in either. Lately I've been thinking about maybe just going with 2 18's off 2 2500ds.

Man don't let other peoples opinions change want you want to run. I have a 01 blazer that I'm walling off for 3-15's Revos and 2 SAZ3000Ds for a daily setup. Don't be scared to be different.

Its not about being 'different' or not, its about practicality. The idea of driving a walled vehicle around every day seems awesome till you actually do it for a while. Hell the idea of driving my mega-cammed bigblock chevelle every day seemed great too, till I actually did it for a while.

If the guy really wants this setup, more power to him. I'll be one of the first to step in and help where I can. but he needs to understand what he's getting himself into, and think it through fully, before he spends all that time cash and effort just to possibly find out he's made a mistake.

Well it all depends on how he wants to get it.

Not all 150 at 30hz sounds the same.

I much rather have 4 18s doing it than 2 15s. (example only)

I'm a cone area fan. Thus that being also, needing more power.

If I didn't want peoples opinions I wouldn't have asked //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif It's the same as v8 swapping my blazer, some people say it's dumb, others would do it themselves. Regardless of what some people say I will still do what I want. However, I will consider their ideas and determine if it's what I want to do or not. I used to think that people wouldn't ever need more than 1k watts. Well things have changed =)
