6x9 ported box plans?

this is what i figured from RE Audio's box calc
box width: 12

box height: 9

Box top depth: 5

box bottom depth: 8

Wood thickness: .5

square port height: 8

square port width: .4

square port length 1: 5.6

square port Length 2: 5.6

square port area: 3.2

box volume: .249 ft^3

tuned freq: 46.24

yes? no? maybe? other tweaks? lol thanks
I'd personally go with a bigger box and more port area. .25ft^3 is before speaker displacement, so you'll be around .2 after, and 8"x.4" is really skinny for a port.

i would say this is a noob question, but i think its just a general question really..

considering your average door isnt air tight or in a stock car its not even close... wouldnt almost any enclosure sound decent?

I did this in my convertible mustang when I was 16 and I loved it! I had like 20ft of wire for each speaker so I could move them around when we where at the beach or skate park or wherever. In all honesty, I really enjoyed it!

yeah its skinny but thats what was required for the tuning. and i'm trying to keep the box size decently small i might give it a lil boost in size but we'll see what happens. lol

and yeah it might be a noob question concerning in the box size etc but i didnt find too much on ported 6x9 enclosures. but id consider the box for 6x9's a general knowledge question lol. considering the only places for speakers stock in this thing are in kinda underneath the dash... and their only 4". while these aren't bad for mids... i need some kind of low. lol. the 4" are going in their respective spots and the 6x9's are going behind the seats. its a single cab truck so yea lol.

yeah i plan on enjoying it alot also. i got 40' of wire for my truck which is plenty for single cab. i think i'm only going to use 4-5 feet for the fronts each which will leave me with 15-16 feet for 6x9s. and my friends always have the problem of music at the beach... it would normally involve a couple open doors and an annoying *** "bing-bing" that makes you wanna fill your ears with sand!!
