6x9 Mid Bass Drivers.

Did you seal the gaps around the 6.5s? Or just stick them in there
I used a SAT 69 speaker adapter which covers the entire hole in the door and is a direct fit to the 6.5 speaker, I covered the door with dynamat before installing the speaker and then cover the adapter with dynamat after installing the speaker. it's sealed well, the entire outer and iner door skins are sealed as well.

They sound good but just not as prounced as the mid bass that was coming fromthe 6x9 factory woofer that was in the bottom of the factory 3 way components.

More cone surface area on a 6x9. So since the open is specifically for a 6x9 and I have the space behind the door figured why not try a higher end 6x9 in the bottom of the hertz 3 way components instead of the 6.5. I will probably buy the set listed above, for 120 if it's no big difference then I'm not out much and can just re sell them or whatever.
