While listning to music the other day I noticed that I had seized one of my MTX Thunder XT693 6x9s solid. I figured I had simply melted the voice coil. Upon further inspection I noticed that the magnet had literaly split in half had was pinching the voice coil. How the hell did I manage that? Is this a known problem with these 6x9s? I'm going to try and get a little more use out of it by putting a 5" (or so) adjustible hose clamp around the magnet.

this is basicly what happened
