6x9 adaptors FTL

After putting an amp on my 6x9's in the rear, I wasn't happy. Sure the amp was only 40 watts but I'm losing way too much midbass because of my lack of mounting. The speakers basically sit below the 4x10 holes. I refuse to hack up my car so custom kick panels will be in soon along with a 100.2. My question is what components for the front? I don't have huge amounts of money so I'd say around $200 for a set of 6.5's. I was thinking about going the CDT route but I want some opinions first. Thanks

I like focal too. Heard they're speakers @ tweeter. I was impressed, just broke.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

They make 4 x 10 to 6 x 9 adapters that would provide a good seal and better bass response I think Crutchfield used to sell them at one time.
I'm done dealing with them though. I think I blew one of my 6x9's anyway so I'm getting the kick panels ASAP. I'm still deciding on comps. I like the sound of Focal but I heard them in a store. Polk makes good stuff too.....and CDT. Oh and by the way. I'm looking for used 6.5" coaxials. Nothing crazy though, its going in my 74 truck which at the moment is a piece of shit. LMK.
