6x8 suggestions

I have just installed a Sony CD player in a 1998 Ford Taurus. I think it puts out 17 watts RMS. Both the back and doors takes 6x8's. Dont want to spend a lot but what brand and model speakers would be best I was thinking about Pioneer A6871R (doors and back deck)or Infinity Reference 6812cf. The infinity just suppose to fit in the doors according to cructfield. Thanks for any advice. My main goal is to get a big improvment in sound quality that I have with the factory speakers, which is not that bad. I also dont have any plans on an amplifer

Despite what some people on here might say, infinity's are ok. They will be a definant improvement on stock. Having used both Infinity and Alpine, I would go with Alpine type S, or if you want a smoother tweeter, the type R"s. Either choice will be nice, but without a amp, when you turn your volume up, your speakers will distort at some point coming from your head unit. Always better to have your speakers amped to bring out the clarity and solid volume. Just wanted you to be aware of that. Good luck!

Pioneer has a good 4 way speaker that should sound very nice.

Thanks for the replys. I have not looked at any amps at all but I may consider getting one first and maybe a pair of decent speakers. ANy suggestions on the best bang for the buck amp.
