6in Sub Advice...

I have an Alpine 4x100 @ 2ohm Amp.

Currently Running Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 way speakers and Infinity Kappa 6.5 Components off it..

My Current thoughts are to fab up some kick panels for the jeep...(I didn't like the last ones and I don't think they would work for 6.5in Subs...)

Then Take the 3 way speakers and run them to my head unit..i hate to do it but it does power them pretty well by itself..

Then Use the Channel 2+4 on the amp, set that filter to Lowpass...and run the two 6in Subs off it.

Does this sound like a good idea? And I am currently going to go with Elemental Designs 6in...But would like some other options.

Tang Band also makes a great 6.5" subwoofer with a neo motor so its much smaller than the one on the eD's

See thats what Im looking for...thanks alot man.

All Im looking for is Mid bass I guess...I miss how my stock Infinity system had the 6.5in Woofers...and they sounded **** good...

A friend of mine has AA poly 6.5's crossed over at 56hz and they play that low no problem. The only time i got them to bottom out was when i crossed them over to 40hz, they werent happy. The volume was not exactly low though.

DD W6.5LT also. the fiercest 6.5" woofer i know of. and they are working on a 6.5Z from what i hear.

i was quite impressed with the new one. so have been everyone who i let try mine. including other dealers. it's not comparable to a dyn or anything if you play it up into the vocals. but it sure is a beast used as a midbass.

i still don't get how you all are getting the poly mids to drop low, mine act like they have a **** passive crossover on them even if i run the high pass to flat

The DD 6.5LTs work best in small ported enclousures....
