Hey guys, whats a cheap amp out there that can do 600w RMS x1 into 2 ohms, or 300w RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms? I got my friend 2 12" Infinity Reference 1230w and im trying to find him a cheap amp for these cheap subs in a sealed box.

Autotek XS550.2 - 550 Watts X 1 @ 2 Ohms Bridged; 350 Watts X 1 Channel @ 4 Ohms Bridged. About 130 shipped on Ebay. Amp has been working great for my friend so far.....

If your bud doesn't mind used gear you can sometimes find a Kenwood Performance Standard (early eXcelon stuff) KAC-PS400M or an actual eXcelon-labeled KAC-X401M for a decent price.

I've got the KAC-X401M and it'll give ya 600w @ 2 Ohms or 300w @ 4 Ohms. (The PS400M does the same power....just not all the gadgetry as the newer unit)

Has a SSF (4 diff. selectable frequencies), 24dB/octave LP crossover, a cooling fan that doesn't try to fight the laws of physics, and a SIgma Servo feedback loop that, when connected properly, brings the unit's damping factor to 4-digit numbers. Reliable as can be no matter how hard ya bang on it in my experience.

Kenwood doesn't rate it to be 1 Ohm stable so I've never tried to run it that low but I have heard rumors of other people doing so without problem (I can't say I suggest doing so, however)
