$600 sound system for a friends 98 dakota

I actually prefer rear fill in my vehicle. Just so happens my seat postition puts front and rear speakers at identical distances from my ears and my time alignment still works pretty nicely because of this. But i agree , 95% of the time "**** REAR FILL". LOL
I prefer rear fill also. It suits my vehicle and application.

People who say no to rear fill before they even know the vehicle and application, I feel are just jumping on the bandwagon.

100% truth here. I jumped on the bandwagon in my car and never could get it up to my tastes and standards. then my brother hooked me up with the 4 silver flutes , and instead of shelling out dough for fiberglassing materials for pods , i made baffles and put a set in the doors and a set in the rear deck and my car has never sounded better IMO. A few members here have personally heard it and were really impressed at the SQ and SPL of the buick VS the money i have invested in it. FYI , not very much. LOL.

Did you just spell "bye" the gay way? As in, "Bai"?
No he spelled it as in "baisexual"

Wow, bashing on Bassin' pretty quick there. He's kinda a respected member on the board. Pick your battles wise here

FYI, your buddy needs to be a little more educated. A warranty isn't going to mean squat, in most instances, if it wasn't installed by a certified professional.

Hertz Audio makes amazing stuff. I have installed numerous components from them.
Im not trying to battle , its just annoying when u ask peoples opinion on stuff and they jump right into trying to sell you their stuff.Besides I have warrantty stuf through ebay and sonic and they are a pleasure to deal whith if something goes wrong.

Are you concerned about the warranty in the particular part of equipment failure or receiving already failed equipment? Ebay doesn't cover items that fail while in your hands. Once you receive it and you use it, done deal. Now if you are worried about getting screwed, then thats Paypal that has a protection program. Which really isnt a protection program, because anyone can file a dispute on their bank card.

Not picking on little things or anything, just trying to gauge where the frame of mind is. Surprises come up when people confuse manufacturer's warranty's, Ebay Protection and Merchant Warranty's (which have alot of stipulations FYI)

some ebayers offer a square trade warranty which i believe is up to 3 years.

if u were to get some ID XS65's with a good amount of power and proper installation, u won't need a sub or rear fill. the idea of SQ IMO is to have the stage infront of you with the "vocalist" right under your rearview mirror but again that's MO
