$600 sound system for a friends 98 dakota

I am trying to put together a stereo that will impress for a friend in his truck. His budget is $600 and he wants to keep his factory stereo. So i was thinking about using a maxsonics mx-2 with a mb quart q 4.80 amp and some kind of 6.5 comps in front and 6.5 coaxial in the rear. I also will be getting a roll of fatmat and dynaxorb pads .Any opinions on the speakers? He will not be running a sub and has no plans to ever.

Don't mind me , i'm out for a fight tonight , and since i have a 1 year old asleep behind me the only way i can do it is to pick at people. LOL. And yeah , the flutes are nice for the price. I have heard better but not at this price. If you are on a tight budget and want SQ get the flutes , if your budget is tight and you want loud get selenium 6w4p's. I have used both in my buick and they are the best bang for buck out there right now.

spend all that money on a good front set of comps and amp and proper deadening.

I'd suggest getting some ID xs65's and a 4 channel amp and bridge that ****, deaden the **** outta the doors, and profit.

FYI, your buddy needs to be a little more educated. A warranty isn't going to mean squat, in most instances, if it wasn't installed by a certified professional.

Hertz Audio makes amazing stuff. I have installed numerous components from them.
