I have an 86k10 and sometime next week I am going to dig into the old speaker system and replace most of it I have 2 jbl 6x9's(door) 2 jbl 3.5'(dash) and 2 kenwood 4x10's(rear) also a kenwood kdc-x697 head unit and a 4 channel kac8405 amp and i know the kenwood's are 4 ohm and the jbl's are 2 ohm i am almost a noob at speaker systems but i need help install it its my first install ever and i dont want to mess it up!

I would run the rear 4x10's off the deck and the doors and dash off the amp. 4x10 **** *** anyway and putting power on them wont really gain you much. but being able to hpf the dash speakers will make those sound a lot better than running full range off the deck.

I have seen some ppl use the cover panels and install 6x9's in them. that would be money better spent than the 4x10's. I would probably still run the 6x9's off the deck just because they will play full range the best. or get another amp for one set of the speakers.
