6" Aero too big for 1 12

I'm going off to college so i only want a single sub setup, but when i come back for the summer i'm going to do 3 12's i think. For school i'm going to have one sub just for some bump. I was wanting to buy one 6" aero now and then when i get the 3 12's do 2 6" aeros. My question is would one 6" aero be too much for 1 12" sub. Or what do you guys think i should do. The reason i'm going with 12's is b/c my trunk has a small opening and i need a shorter box.

I was thinking around 2-2.5 @ 35 hz. Saw a bl in the classifieds for a decent price so i'm considering picking that up, or i'm looking at the mach 5 ixl 12.

I know its the wrong section, but i figured while i was on topic id ask also. I have a dd m3 for an amp when i do 3 12's. Should i get d2's or d4's? D2's will wire to 1.33 ohms, but i know with box rise it will be alot more and with d4's i think the wiring is .667 ohms, but would i be ok with box rise since my amp is 1 ohm stable. I've heard that the m3 can drop pretty low though.

And thanks for the quick responses everybody. Appreciate the help. I was going to do 2 4" aero's, but doing a 6" will help me for future builds.
