6 channel amp whats out there??

i dont know this is just frustrating right now.... he said no more than 3 amps period and no larger than "here" the area i measured to be just a hair under 23 " ...

23" wide how tall? i mean if he only gives you 23" and wants 2kw for sub stage and 6 channels for the rest that's hard to do. now if it's 23" wide and like 20+ tall, you could go c2k they'd fit.

you can fit a 650.6 in there, i know cause we were going to stick one in my dads new porsche and we layed on in there.

umm no i cant man... i appreciate the recc over and over but i already stated we dont have that much room.... i dont mean to sound rude... its all fiberglassed in there . he had other amps before he stepped up to a fullt active setup now... so out come the old and we need to find new ones to fit.. he doesnt want to re-do 3 weeks worth a glass work for new amps... which i can def understand. id love to put the zapco 650 in there is we could but id have to cut into the painted fiberglass patch it up tear it out have it all re-painted etc... he just doesnt want to do all that. there may be enough room width wise for the c2k line id have to measure but length is more the concern at this point, and using 3 c2k's may be over his budget id have to check and see since he just bought the **** vrx's and man did they piss me off for that kind of cash on an amp it should work as stated!!!!

and also i still have to use 3 amps even with the 650 since they only have a 1100 watt model for the subs as large as they go...if we did a 6 channel he hoped for a 2 amp system for the whole thing... trust me i have to make it all look good again anyway even though it was originally setup for the vrx's till we had the issues with the 1.500

you didnt mention that it was all fibergalssed and what not, but i have seen a 650.6dc lay in the area behind the rear seats in my dads porsche, and least the area that i think you are talking about.

why not go up front with the amps if they dont fit in the rear?

they are already in the luggage area up front they are glassed in there painted to match the silver oem color

i dont have the pics here right now they are at the shop... we set it up for a 2 amp audison setup using a vrx 6 channel and a vrx 1.500.. but the 1.500 just does not like 1 ohm loads no matter what audison says we tried 2 different ones and they both go into thermal or clip off way to easy.. audisons answer is to but all extra stuff to "help" keep it cooler .... for an amp this expensive neither us or him liked this answer it should not need extra stuff to handle the loads its rated for... anyway a 2 amps system. the amps were mounted under lexan in a fiberglass tub along with all the fuse/distro in a separate area in the glass also under lexan... we had the porsche emblem etched into the plexi and its edge lit so only the logo lights when the luggage area's hood is opened... we have basically just over the size of the vrx 6 channel which is right about 22 " and there is maybe just under another inch to spare there giving us 23" he does not want to re-do the glass work. and since its under the lexan most amps will fit as long as they are in the size requirments... 3 amps may fit but they would have to kind be waterfalled sort of in there and hope they are not to tall to go under the lexan... not sure if this helps but best description i can really give right now... its a new 911 turbo... se he also doesnt want a million revisions and added chances of anything getting damaged or scratched even though we are extremely careful he was hesitiant in the first place with the car.. but after seeing other higher end cars we did he let us do the work...

if he can afford a new 911 turbo, i'm sure he would pay someone to figure out his problems, or if you own a shop, im sure there is someone else locally other than ca.com that has the skills to figure it out. and if a shop did the work, take it back and make them do the install over no matter how much time is in it. if the products they chose/sold arent performing and nothing else fits in within the install, that isnt his problem, its theirs.

ummm we did the install... no one else... he brought us the audisons as we do not sell them... so its not our fault the amps are not functioning as he wanted them to... we are not going to re-do all the labor becasue he is not happy with the amps he brought us.. hope you can understand that... we are doing what we can to try and help him out so he does not have to re-do the whole job and he understands that... i dont see what your issue is.. i am simply looking for other amps out there to fit a size/power requirement to see if before we have to make him tear it all up and re-do it all we can find something else that fits his needs we carry a number of lines but in our area i dont stock much of the uber expensive high end since we hardly ever sell it... and i really dont have anything that will fit anyway as far as 6 channel is concerned from our lines...

just because he has money does not change the fact that he is a customer... do you charge someone double if they pull up in a fancy expensive car?? if so im glad im not your customer... we treat everyone the same no matter... im working at a solution for this issue and looking for ideas.. you are just stuck on your whole zapco kick.. yea they are good amps... best ones out there no they are not imo, they are great top line amps but there are others i would take before them.... i always see you pushing zapco on here.... he went with audsion because of how highly regarded the name was and how they should have performed... we were the only shop here that he fealt capable of doing what he wanted... we didnt sell audison and asked if he brought them would we do the work... sure i would not turn him away he asked for our labor to be done since we have done other stuff he saw and he loved it...

dont talk about having the skills to figure it out man... there is none required since he doesnt want to have to re-do the whole job over again.... ive been in this business for near 14 years.. dont tell me i dont have the experience or skills...and im supposed to tun him away now.?? man you need to re-read things and learn to ask more thing before making statements like that.. one of the reasons many people put this forum down on other forums and say they will not return trust me i see it a lot... most here are helpful and sorry if i sound like a ***... but you dont need to talk about anyones skills or experience especially when i didnt ask about anything but what else is out there... trust me there are a ton of huge names in this industry that know me... and have for years now... like i said if you are in this industry im sure glad im not your customer...

know what???? and yeah its basic... but there are other lines i DONT CARRY and do not know every model of every line out there in sure you dont either ??? unless you know it all which i doubt

trippin man you need to re-read your last statement above.. i described the whole install in the luggage area and that we did the job?? where was that confusing...and others are trying to help... you only mention zapco i said they were to big and you harp on them... like there is nothing else out there... and what dont i know?? what basic stuff are you refferring to id sure like to know.. about every 6 channel that is in existance??? i see you pushing zapco all the time and when someone says they are not all that you jump on them.. i have read many posts like that go back and look....

and how is its the shops problem if the amps used were the customers?? you telling me you would re-do the whole install for free than if one of the customers amps didnt work out that they brought you?? youd be out of business pretty quick.. no sweat just like other i know on other forums i can go elsewhere... no biggie it a big place the http://www....
