6 channel amp whats out there??

we already had the vrx's in there loved the 6 channel the sub amp sucks a@s

all it does at 1ohm is shut down and clip off... got hot enough to fry eggs on he had us take them out 2 days later... he got tired of his subs on and off thing...i wish it ran better at 1ohm... talked directly to audison and orca (former audison us distributor) and they both agreed that the 1.500 is known for this at 1ohm. he did switch it out for a new one also so it was not the amp itself...a ton of people say they have had this problem with them...sucks

tell him the 1.4" is worth it for the zap lol. other than that go mcintosh that's the only other company i can recommend.

yeah i tried the problem is there is no more room... i cant get them in there if they are over this size not where he wants them in the storage area... this sucks i really wish the vrx sub amp was better.. we would have been done and had this car out of our hair already.. he is a great customer but hell im sick of re-doing it every time the amp setup changes... i stumped as well.... i could do three amps but all would have to be under 23" and we need 2kw on subs total and a good 50-100 watts on all the rest of the 6 speakers (full 4 way setup all active)

if you can go 3 amps just do a DC350.2, DC360.4, DC 1100.1 but it won't give you 2kw. if you can mix up the sub amp from a different line but same company just a 9.0 and the DC's i mentioned.

yeah his subs are VERY inneficient so id need some big power... (new fi audio ones) and no he will not let me mix them up since he will be using it for iasca this next coming season.... he wants a real uniform look to the whole car ...just one of those customers , but this shows how far i go out of the way for them..lol

Zapco DC650.6, though it's 24.4" long if you can spare an extra 1.4" to make 'er fit.
Those are the only current production 6 channels I can think of off hand.

they sacrifice length for width on the reference series and make up for that shape by going more square on the C2k. you could run c2k if you wanted. c2k 3.0, c2k 4.0, c2k 9.0. damn damn damn sexy setup, matches and all SQ comp judged love seeing that nice c2k starring at you.

i dont know this is just frustrating right now.... he said no more than 3 amps period and no larger than "here" the area i measured to be just a hair under 23 " ...
