6.5" mids that will play down to 60hz with authority at high volume

My Blues Car Audio 6.5" drivers play "Full Range" all of the time ... no crossover whatsoever !!!

When I decide to play dubstep or outlaw bass, I will bring them up to 50 - 70 htz just in case ... but most of the time, they can take the punnishment ...

not a cheap driver by no means ... But will work !!! and play clear music (sound Quality Style) all day long ...

AA CF 6.5's are split coil technology, does pretty much the same thing as xbl^2 that the Exodus has. Neo motor might make them easier to mount. Think depth is around 3.25".

I ran them for a few years with a HPF @ 63hz, 12dB slope. Sounded like I had a few 8" subs in the car when the sub was turned off. They'll easily play up to 3500Hz, so no problem running them in a 2way set up.

I know ppl hate kicker sometimes, but the kicker smb6 will give you a decent amount of bass with authority. I also agree that if you want to play midbass in the 60-70hz zone and do it at high volumes. You would be better off with an 8" midbass driver! No PA speaker but a strictly midbass driver!

I had those Kicker ssmb6s mentioned ^ if you cross them at about 80-100hz fairly steep slope, they are loud as all get out. They definitely don't like to go below there though, they start to bottom out pretty easily at high volumes if u cross lower than 80hz.

The Blues BL6.5 has an Fs of 36 Hz in our component set, and easily plays well below 60 Hz at volume with authority. We have NO problems letting them play full range in the demo or competition vehicles, and with the right amp and door re-inforcement they audibly go into the 20 Hz range. If you don't beleive it I suggest you find one of the vehicles at a show near you and hear it. The limiting factor is the actual power output of the amp at low frequency and how much flex the steel door panel has. We are running 200 watts RMS per channel to the component set in my vehicle and never cut the bottom end out of the 6.5 and we play it loud. The 6.5 has nearly 1.25" of total travel, and will not bottom out on the motor structure.

The remaining question, then, is....how many bawlz do I need to sell to buy a set?

Look for speakers with resonance frequency below 60Hz and one way xmax of at least 6mm. Some examples are:

Hybrid Audio Clarus

Massive Audio CK6V

HAT is an amazing woofer, because despite having good bass extension, it can also pay into very high frequencies. The stock passive crossover is using 5.2KHz frequency or near that.

Gonna have to sell both of urs as well as ur kidneys and maybe do a bank job or two just to afford a set. They may be the best thing known to man but if not man can afford them then whats the point of them... Id run them in a heart beat but would have to to sell car just to buy one of their comp sets.....
