6.5" Comps suggestions

Never heard of that but will definitely look into it.

Not sure it does. Why do you ask? What can I do with the factory unit?
rockford has the dsr1 which is very simple to plug and play full blown DSP with the idata link maestro connection that most GM cars have. You can also control the dsp via your smart phone and its only 250 dollars on pre-order right now.

are there any DSPs you can control with a smartphone or tablet as of now?

game changer at that price point. Of course its not an audison or whatever( i know certain equipment snobs will nitpick and talk sh*t on it regardless) but it offers most of what is needed to make a good sounding vehicle without having to plug in a laptop every **** time. Bluetooth connection and tune via the app any time.

thats pretty slick man!!

That DSR1 looks pretty sweet, especially for the price. I just want something that is easy to use, has an built in RTA, and can auto correct. I don't want to dump loads of money into it so my DSP budget is probably $400-$500.

I was just thinking.....if I go active, I'm going to have to go with another amp as I want to run some rear fill for my occasional passengers. That adds cost to the build.
