6.5 inch component choices

I am looking for a good set of 6.5 inch components that sound good with metal/hard rock. I am currently running a set of alpine sps610c components and i want a stronger guitar/bass sound. My subs are 2 fi ssd 10's and they pretty much overshadow the vocals and instrument sound. I have a zed made planet audio p502 that i will be using to run my front stage so at 2 ohms it will put out 100w rms per channel. I am looking to spend about 200 but that is somewhat flexible. Please any and all suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Edit: i am open to used equipment also.

install gives you good guitar and bass guitar. i.e. proper seals around speaker to door panel. start by making the install of your current speakers better. post pics of how they are mounted in the doors, where your tweeters are, etc.

Type-R would be a better set.

Out of all the areas of an installation that benefit the most from improvements it's the front speakers by far. There are a number of things you can do to make the most of your speakers, which in turn will make any new speakers sound even better. $200 can do a lot to improve your install.

This. I replaced my entire speaker setup with Type-R's (except a JL sub) and they are FANFUCKINGTASTIC with whatever metal I throw at them. Whether it's more hard rock like Red Fang or death metal a la Ulcerate and Pathology, they really fill the air.
