6.5 comps + amp

2001 jeep grand cherokee

i am wanting to get a 6.5 comp set (front) + amp to start off.

ive been hearing good things about the pg rsd65cs and they are only 60$..

i am willing to spend more money on speakers, i just didnt know what other ones would be worth the extra $$.

then i have to get an amp.. would a 4channel or 2channel work better?

and which amps work good with component sets?

I would invest a bit more in the speakers and forget about the RSDs... You can get some good components and a good amp to push them proper for about 300-350 bucks.

The Hex comps that are going for $199 are not the same Hex comps we have heard and loved from a few years ago. These are new Hex comps made by the company that purchased Diamond Audio. They look the same but they are not the same quality and do not have the same sq.

i listen to mostly rap/hip hop and rock if that helps any..

edit: those cdt's don't look like they will do well with bass

Deaden your doors well and the midass kicks hard on them. I have a set in one of my cars and they sound awesome.

Look at the same Cadence amp with the CDT CLS60 comps. That comes out to $200 and will sound great.
