well this is what i will be saving up for the next couple weeks. I will prolly buy in pieces just because i cant save up that much w/o buying something.

2 12" D6 $343.80 shipped

Power Acoustic 2400db $244.80 shipped

Total: $588.60

I dunno if i should save the hassle of building a box and buy one tuned fo the D6s or just go ahead to save the money. They have the box on hifisoundconnection for $138.21 shipped for the 2 d6s but i dout i will spend that much money for it.

Are these good prices? If not where should i look.

no, but the d6's rms is only 600w i believe, so i would get the PA 1800db instead. also, make sure to get 2 dual 4 ohm d6's so they can be wired to 1 ohm. and you can get a custom built ported box for those d6's from someone on here for about the same price, but it will be a lot better than that one.

yeah look around man.. those are some awesome subs so don't skimp on the amp. the classifieds section usually has some good amplifiers that will work with the d6's, just keep an eye out.

man i really dont want to throw down $400 on an amp. I guess i am a noob at this. I never would have considered myself one, but seeing what most people on here know about so many different brand and such i would have to catigorize myself as one. What comes out of a PA amp that isnt good? I understand it is underrated, but i dont need the power that it says. Does a cheap amp send out "bad" watts? durty watts i guess?

yeah you guyz are so helpful. I am going to buy my subs before i get an amp only because that is the most important part i think and i am already set on getting those subs. I will keep my eyes wide open and if anyone has a deal on a good amp holla at me PLEASE but i have a while before i order the amp.

well, it's not known for clean power. and you don't have to throw 400. 250-300 will get you a decent amp if you look around for deals. you might even get one for less. just don't rush it and end up getting something you will want to replace in a few weeks.

or 250 you can also get a hionics that will power them just fine, some of the peopel on this forum will say not to get the hifonics but for the price theres nothing wrong with them whatsoever.
