If I were to get a 400-500 amp alternator in my eclipse (I know that would be huge and stupid but i might do it) would I need to upgrade and factory wires for the actual car seeing how there would be so many amps.....my stock alt is 65 amps stock

For one no one makes a 500A alt.Two if they did it would have shit for out put at idle.Three your wasting your money buying an alt that big.Alts just don't compare to battery power.Yes you need a larger alt to charge multiple batts but nothing really over 250A.

Nt neccesairly.It depends on the vehicle,if its a big 350 or something like that no prob.A little 3.1l V6 maybe so.The point is its just impractical.No one makes an alt that big,only way its done is with dual alts.Not one big one:crazy:
