I've been out of car audio for a little while and it seems everything requires a lot of power these days. What is out there that will get reasonably loud while still sounding very good with only 500W, in either single 4ohm or D2?

Please help, as something will be installed this week...

The new IDQ is not out yet that I know of, and from the extensive 12" Challenge review of the DIYMA 12 I would pass on it.

 

The Fi SSD copper coil is an option for you.

Thanks. The SSD will sound alright with only 500W? I thought these liked a lot more...

I heard one and it was nice. The guy had a top notch install, but i sounded good and I dont really like MTX

Just because the RMS is one thing, does not mean you have to run it with that exact power.
