Bass at weird times.

I recently connect my subs into my new car. I didn't want to replace the factory deck, so I tapped into the +/- wires of my rear factory sub, and ran those into and audio line converter, then from there into my amp. Sometimes when I change CD's or tracks, I will get a loud amount of bass. There is no music or anything, my subs just hit for about 5-10 seconds, before the new disc/track is loaded, then all is back to normal.

Any ideas as to why this is happening, or how i can fix it? I'm not quite sure what i did wrong but it is quite annoying...

Thanks

Andy

sounds like the line level converter is not grounded properly....might even try tapping into the ground sheath of one of your RCA's and grounding it to the same spot the line level converter is grounded.
