Personally I think most Hifonics are bad sound quality amps, re audio's new stuff is not near as good as it used to be, and some ppi is decent

Alpine m1000 amps are actually really good amps. They have good sound quality, put out good power and are pretty decent on price. I'd definitely have alpine as an option...kicker maybe not
Why? You're missing out, they are both very good 2 ohm amps. That AQ needs to be wired lower to get power out of like all Korean amps.
Running the AQ at 2ohm is a waste. Soon as rise takes effect it won't make any power. Don't let the hate for mainstream on the forums keep you from good gear. The statement you made about Hifonics tells me you are doing just that. Don't buy crap cause you've been told its no good cause its mainstream.
The alpine mrp m1000 doesn't have an adjustable subsonic filter. I had one running my 2 fi ssd's and they were a little boomy. I recently traded a hifonics bxi 2610 for a new style sound stream ref 1.1000. The hifonics sounded awful as far as sq. the sound streams are a little pricey I would probably go with a ppi pc1000 I've seen them on eBay for$238.
