5% tint and the law

my buddy has rlly dark tint including a lil on the windshield and hes gotten busted here in long island but here cops have nuttin to do.. basically he said if they cant see when u they pull u over thell get pissed n prob bust ya..

I get mine done at Pro Tint. They recently had an $89 special but I missed it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. There's also a place called Xtreme Auto Sound or something like that on Bardstown road i think. Regular cost at Pro Tint is $149.

89 dollars are you kidding. I would have jumped all over that. I got my front windows tinted at blades and shades they did a great job but i think they might have changed ownership so i was seeing if there were any other places around here.

Mine was $150, which includes taking old tint off. I got that 3M stuff, so I also have a lifetime warranty. I got it done at Auto Perks on Taylor Blvd.

Jordan's in Radcliff did my 5% tint for $100 .. I wasnt going to get my vette tinted there because I had heard other tint shops talk shit abot Jordans, and I really didnt care about my Jeep's tint all that much so I just took it there, and they did an excellent job....no complaints here.
They were pretty cool too, probably the best experience ive had at an audio shop in years, and they're a piss poor audio shop, lol... But they make gobs of money off of the dumbass army guys from fort knox who see chrome audiobahn speakers and buys them on that alone.

I've got 35% all around on my car except the windsheild. It's way too light, but it's as dark as you can go legally. The cops didn't use to care about it, but recently they've been enforcing the tint law here, there's been articles about it on the newspaper and it's been on the tv before. The shop I used said they could take it as dark as I wanted, no problem, but 35% was as dark as it could legally be. I drove a truck a couple weeks ago with 5% on it and I liked it a lot better. It looked a lot better and it was a lot cooler on the inside. I wish I could have my retinted but I don't feel like spending the $150+ to get it tinted and a $50 fine if I get caught.

I have 5 all the way, except the windshield. Down here where i am from, we like to party down skimpy *** dirt roads in the ****ing woods. some i wouldn't even call a raod, more like a trail. (I dont go there much) Anyways, have to roll my windows down to back out of these tight spots. 5% on the windshield is **** crazy.
