.5 ohms or 2 ohm amp for best sound!

From my testing the 2500.1 @ 1 ohm is louder than the 3000d @ 1 ohm. 0.5 ohm for the 3000 is a different story...

sundownz posts at SSA have the 3000d at 3000-3400w at 1/2ohm nom, 12-14v.

The 2500 will run at 1 ohm but creates a lot of wasted heat. If i was you I would get rid of your current coil configuration maybe a sub trade and get the SAZ? The amps design will depict the dampening factor not just the load. Try to obtain the specs on eat to determine but the SAZ is a much more solid amp IMHO..

I ran the amp that way daily for two years and never burnt anything. My only two complaints about the amp was that it ran super hot and isn't strappable. I bought Sundowns because they run cool and are strappable.
