.5 ohm

its a future set up...1 Nightshade powered by SAZ-1500D...but i hear that the nightshades 1500rms so i wanted a bit more power out of that amp...for price range wise...the 3000D is a lil outa my range

You really don't need to run the 1500 @ 1/2 ohm to get good results from a Nightshade, a single Dual-2 Nightshade would be quite happy with a 1500D @ 1 ohm.

If you really must run 1/2 ohm then you need a Dual-1 Nightshade and wire one coil to each set of terminals - they are parallel inside the amp to make 1/2 ohm.

...no i have a 1991 GMC safari van...all stripped out...have 4 15s in it now...isnt that great but it works and sounds good...electrical as in wire, battery, and alt?...
yes that is what I was asking.....?? If you plan n running the Sundown 1500 then you will need atleast another battery and the Big 3 done.....

alright...speaking of Nightshade...whats the peak on it? might as well ask u...none of the car audio places in mitchell have heard anything about them

I don't give them a peak rating, pretty pointless //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Just like my amps don't have a peak rating.

So far I've seen as much as 4500 watts for a burp on them with no issues at all.

As I go through the subs for shipment I set some to the side that are b-stock (meaning they have cosmetic imperfections and I won't sell them to a dealer) - so let me know when you are ready and I'll see if I have any at that time.

alright thanks a bunch:)

I don't mean an offence by this but, It is obvious you not a professional, or a regular comp. I would seriously suggest not getting in over your head early on in the learning curve. Dont simply look at #'s and judge the output or result by them. The install can make great equipment like Sundown sound great or like a kraco system from Kmart. Unless you are going to blurp you system for a comp. the real world result of getting an extra 300 watts out of you 1500d really wouldn't be noticeable. Typically it takes X2 the wattage or cone area to make a noticeabe difference. So the additional strain you put on your electrical system wouldn't be wort the very small improvement in volume if you went to .5 ohm

just my $.02

ive been putting in systems for a year so i am a newbie....i know what im doing when it cums to puttin a system in a car but i dont know the stuff that others dont....ill admit it im new to it....Especially when it comes to amps...

hey, I don't what you tho think in any way I was dogging on you. Just know that the 1500d is one hell of an amp. put to on 2 decent 12' ro 15's in a properly designed and constructed box and it will truly impress you, I can promise:D
