.5 ohm stable amp.

Thank you all for the responses. I was a little worried about the amount of power I would receive at 2 ohms with the sundown.

Around 950 watts @ 13.6 volts per Loyd's testing. That is with a starter battery only and an 85 amp alternator, so you should easily maintain that voltage level for that power level. That is about 0.75 dB quieter than 1200 watts in an ideal world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The IA 20.1 would be a great choice for this application too.

i may be selling my opti2kd if your interested.......almost 2k watts at .5 ohm, and a little over 1100 at 2 ohms.

Old school U.S. Amps. Bunch of them can do .5 ohm. Let me find one.

This one doesn't meet your budget, or really any of your specs, but check the HC line of US Amps.

EDIT : Ok, went through US amps website. I'm wrong. They won't have one that can help you. The VLX-400 WOULD do it. But WAY beyond your budget. I'll leave this all as its better than a blank post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Sorry

I installed my SAZ-1500d today and put it up against a Beyond Audio X-one.

Wired it up at two ohms, and ya know, I have a similar puny alternator and crappy battery in the Scion;

I haven't experienced any voltage drop, which really amazed me. I had voltage drop with the PG Xenon and it only did ~800w full tilt, which probably never happened.

I cranked it up, but no voltage drop. The Scion only shows 13.8 when it's idling; 14.2 on the freeway.

Anyway, the amp was really well behaved as far as being power hungry in my scenario.
