I am about to re-do my entire system in my car, and this is what I have decided to go with: 1 FI Q 12 in a vented box tuned between 29-31 hz. My wife just bought my 200amp alt via DBELECTRICAL. I was initially hellbent on getting another JL 1000/1 to run the sub on. After careful consideration, I see that I can get the same potential from the PG X1200.1. Now JL rates their amp at 11-14v while PG rates theirs at 14.4. Seeing as though I am about to get the upgraded alt, I would be perfectly fine with the PG X1200.1. What do you think about it. I already sold both of my 1000/1's a while ago, but they were great with the stock charging system. I have no experience with the Xenon series amps, but I have heard nothing but good news. Let me know.

xenon amp's arent bad at all. but if i were you.... id save some cash and get some pb asa 1000.1 amp's only 200-225 shipped off ebay and do there rated power and are clean! you would save a lot of cash and get the same performance. just my .02 cent's

They're hard to find new. If you can, go for it. If not, or not from a reliable forum, or well known person, look elsewhere
