Hey guys. Recently, I purchased some wire from a friend who retired from car audio and had some (what he claims to be) 1/0ga wire running for his power wire. Well, I haven't paid for it yet, but I didn't think it looked like 1/0ga wire. After looking at it, it reads '5+ GA High Current Oxygen-Free wire". I've never heard of 5ga wire, much less 5+ga wire - what does this mean? Will this be enough to run 1000w through from my amp for my power? How does the oxygen-free part play a role? Thanks for the input, fellas.
