5 channel vs. 4 channel + mono

Is there a benefit to running a 5 channel for everything versus running 4 channel for your speakers and a class D mono for the sub???

Yes, most 5 channel amps are A/B class

(unless you get something thats a hybrid, that is A/B for the front/rear channels and D class for the sub (JL 500/5 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)

And price difference, in having to buy 2 amps over 1.

Also space & more $ into distroblocks/fuses/cable etc...

It just depends on what you are trying to do and if the 5 channel will have enough power for it all.. The Audison 5.1k is badass...
