I was wondering what you all have discovered to be the best 5 channel amps. I am looking for something like 4x50 + 1x150 or so. could be more.. but not less.

I know that JL and Alpine both have one. the JL is MUCH more expensive. is it worth it? and also, are their any other brands that have good 5 channel amps?

Please help

D

You might want to check out soundstream if you have the money but most five channels only have enough power for a mediocre system and are for beginers with out a lot of money it's also a great solution for small spaces like my boys Tiburon. His Sony pumps out enough for his bridged 10's but just blows the other speakers in the system most likely from distortion

Sorry Memphis BELLE is rated 75x4 @ 4ohms, 1100x1 @ 1ohm, comes with a sub-level remote... The 4 channels are class A/B and the sub channel is class "D"...

This amp ain't Rookie style.... You can get a 5 channel for every need you have....

The only advantage to a five channel is you keep the ability to "fade" between your front and back speakers. You could do a big *** four channel (there are plenty of those) and run your front and rear speakers in parallel on the front channels. Then bridge the rear channels and run a sub.

Thanks guys... What online sites sell the Memphis Belle or to Helix?

and do those have the xovers built in and stuff like the Alpine and the JL ?

Thanks in advance

All of those are good choices and I have to agree with Bean on you can do better then needing a 5 channel amp. I always of course suggest Orion and they do make a 5 channel amp. The cobalt cs500.5 is a good beginner amp. Memphis, JL, Alpine all are good choices as well. It tends to go mostly by the personal taste of the owner as far as which is better, but All of those have been mentioned so I figured why not toss in my two cents.
