Hey Guys,

I'm about to buy the Rockford Fosgate P1000x5d 5 channel amp and I have a couple wiring/installation questions.

I have a JL 12W6v2 D4, and I'm in the market for some component speakers. I want to bridge the 4 channels to run to the components @ 4ohm's but I want to wire the JL with a 2 ohm load.

In the manual, it looks like in bridged mode i can wire two 4 ohm speakers 250x2 + N/A @ 4 ohms (Bridged)

My question is, can I wire my speakers at 4 ohms and my subwoofer at 2 ohms?

Any insight is appreciated!

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...

It would also be easy to add an equalizer to have individual rca inputs for all of the channels. A decent one can be had for less than $40...
