ok i got a question i never cared about batteries and alt so i guess thats probally a reason i never hit 150s but i am gonna run 5 orange tops 1 up front and 4 in the back on two audiopipe 30001d can you draw a quick simple diagram so i can see what it should look like and do i need a new alt or is the one in the trailblazer gonna be strong enough

On a work PC, cant draw for you, but can tell you that you just link all positive and negatives together and hook them to your cables coming from your front battery. And yes you need an alt, got mine from http://www.DCPowerinc.com. , 1-888-441-0144, Dave. He will hook you up, you will have it in about a week.

Ok, there's no such thing as an orange top, I'm assuming you mean Optima Yellow Tops. Your best bet is to upgrade your alt, something with at least 200 amps. I believe your factory alt is between 80-105 amps. The batteries need to be wired in parallel, meaning positive to positive, negative to negative.

Make sure your running all 0/1 ga wires for the batteries. Other good companies would be Irraggi Alts, excessive amperage

and if you havent already purchased the batteries, id suggest Powermaster. Ive run Optima, Kinetik, Odessey, etc. So far im really impressed with their D3100.

there is believe it or not i just found a website that they are on but its basically the same as a redtop plus i am getting such a good deal they could be pink tops lol. but thanks so run them all in parallel then on the last battery run it to my to sub amps.

do i need a isolater or something so the battery under the hood doesnt die when the vehicle isnt on or will i be fine

and w that many batteries you should be fine w/o an isolater.

im not saying a HO alt wouldnt help you, im just saying that you dont need one.

Id just make sure that i had a fuse at the main battery and one at the back where you hook to the battery bank. With 5 batts, you will unlikely have a starting problem. But if it is a major concern an isolator would remedy it.

Ok, well if it's an Orange top than it's not an Optima so it's probably a knock off and total crap, don't waste your money. And you can run your sub amp or all your amps from any of the batteries in the rear. You only need an isolator if you plan on keeping your system cranked for extended periods of time, but since your buying crap batteries I'd recommend one anyway, you'll need it.
