5 10s or 2 15s

i currently have 5 10 inch clarion subwoofers the PXW series running off of a 1500 watt clarion amp the newer model thats out. was just wondering if i should sell off the 5 10s and go to 2 15 inch alpine type r.

well i currently have the 5 installed and they sound good but a few people have been telling me to go to two 15 in stead. would double the power but really dont want to start upgrading alternators and stuff. by the way the 10s are in a 2003 chevy tracker.

2 type r 15's have quite a bit of potential in the right hands.

If it helps any, I went from (4) 15's to (16) 10's on the same amp (both setups wired at 1 ohm on the amp). I liked the (4) 15's more than the 10's.

but if you just went with 2 15's ported it would most likely, if done correctly... be louder.
