4x10 Question

Depends on your budget. But you'll want to get a decent pair to keep up with them OA's, are you gonna run an amp for the fronts?
Yes, i have a old ahh planet audio on them now i think its 600 watts.

as far as subs go
the trunk in that car is a PITA

the back seat is not easy to get into. just remove it.

you can fit 4-12's each in a dedicated airspace 2 cut. ft. box (8 cu. ft. total)

Lol, I need my back seat people have the tendency to always want to ride wit me.

Iirc theres not much of a rear deck anyways. Leave then out for more flow and put extra $$ into the fronts as they've said. If you need something back there afterwards look into a pair of tweeters (w/ built inline filter) somewhere in the rear deck or the rear pillars.

I'm Actually pretty happy with the Alphasonik 3.5 i had kicker's up there they where cool but i had my Alphasonik for a few day and that shh is way louder

Speaker installation in a 1982 Malibu. Did this in 1999. This was my second vehicle and first attempt at a decent system.

Front

Stock: 3.5" in dash.

What I did:

6.5" Massive Audio CK6 in/on kicks - sealed

6.5" Orion XTR midbass in/on doors - vented to door

Rear

Stock: 4x10

What I did

6.5" Alpine components on rear deck - sealed

Subs

(2) of the Hollywood HSL's in a custom enclosure (by me) that fit on top of the tray under the rear deck (had to remove rear seat and remove metal to insert from the front). it was angled to match the rear seat angle and be in front of/under the torsion bars. no pics of this.

Amp

xtant 3300x (ran all of it with passive crossovers) mounted in a custom false floor with a door and ventilation. no pics of this.

HU:

several. pictured was the 3-disc in-dash changer. i also ran the 7930.

Their subs can get loud too..and some of their amps are awesome, if you pay them the same mind you would if you were building a box for their subs....good stuff.

The good stuff. I bet it sounded awesome.

yes it did. less bass than the Regal, but a ton more musical detail and music volume.

the funny part, and the reason i haven't posted this before, is how i made those mounts.

cardboard tubes. reinforced with chemicals for water resistance and hardness. speakers were foam sealed to the ring and secured from behind with screws. carpeted to match, painted grills to match.

oddly enough, it looked decent.
