4x10 Question

I can see that..a thick 1/4" or better cardboard tube is pretty dang stout...looks good too. At a glance, i thought they were fiberglass resin.
they were stout, i worked in printing at the time and we had huge rolls of paper they came on.

in retrospect, they should have been coated in resin and reinforced with fiberglass. then glass a MDF mounting ring to the front with t-nuts for driver mounting. but i was young. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Maybe OP will learn something here....Get a little creative and anything is possible.
at any budget. install determines how good it will be, not how much you spend on components. your time is free. materials are cheap.

i have a total $150 invested in my current 3-way active front stage speakers (Madisound and Parts Express), and they sound better than anything i've done to date because of the time/effort spent on install.

Don't stop yet!! I know you have some more really cool pics hiding somewhere! I always loved looking at old school car audio pics!
BTW, the Buick looks SWEET!
dude, the Buick was an epic first car. not just because of the rear stage stereo... but the engine and paint job.

after the Malibu came the "budget build" 5th Avenue

i never took pics of the systems i did for friends back then. i helped with some SPL builds, general builds, all with some cool old school gear by late 90's PPI, Phoenix Gold, Alpine, JL, etc.

So i finally got my Alphasonik 3.5's and hooked them up after one song the **** sounded like water was in them im looking like WTF is that sound smh... pissed the better send me some new **** real talk.
