The video of the hat in the port turned out pretty cool... I couldn't keep the bottle of water on the sunroof long enough to get a good video LOL

So it seems that 80 CAN design a box that will actually fit together LOL Thanks again!

u said this box is louder than your old sealed box,

do u think your over the 139db thats posted in your sig

because u did that number in a sealed box, i'm actually anxieous as to what u will

Yeah, I'm comparing it to the box that's in my sig...

It's very noticeably louder to the ear than the sealed setup, but I can't be sure if that will equate to louder on the mic/sensor. Hopefully around the 1st of the year I'll be able to get it metered again and see //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

because u actually went from a sealed box to a bandpass

so u put the subs in a more efficient box so in theory u should be louder

I might be able to give them a LITTLE more, but not too much. From what I could see on some songs, like Georgia Dome, they were preffy much maxed out as far as movement goes.

I know they can take more thermally, but I may be close to the mechanical limits.

Yeah, I was going to just use gasket tape around the top, but completely forgot about the port blocking the subs :UH::

If I need to get to the subs, I'll just cut around the port with my flush bit and then rabbet the new opening and make a new baffle/port to drop in there...

I think though that since I know I like the setup, I'm going to rebuild it out of birch and make the port out of plexi, and maybe the baffles for the sub as well so it looks like they're floating in the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
