I have a cascade omega PSi reconed 15. Right now I have it in a 3.4 cuft after displacements tuned to 27 on the low side of port area. I want it louder (143 @40 and 141 @ 34 isn't right for me) I'm debating on making a new box just tuned higher for spl reasons, or just making a new daily 4th order bandp***. I really enjoy my C&S though my dustcap doesn't. I see 4th orders mainly with 4 woofers, so here's the question:

Is it worth making a 4th order for 1 15 inch sub in a trunk?

I've seen decent results from a 15" in a 4th in a trunk. It's very hard to fit, most have to be built in the trunk. If you have the ability to have the port come up through the rear deck, that's usually the best option. But if you're looking for numbers out of a ported box, definitely have to tune higher.

here is amartin_72's 4th order setup, just an idea:

Sure its worth it I was at a show last weekend in Columbus ohio and watched a guy with one 8” sub 4th order beat the pants off of guys with two and three times the power and cone area and he did it just for the fun of showing what a good 4th order can do. Sounded real decent too.
