4th or 6th

I'm going to upgrade to either a 4th or a 6th. I'm aware that a 4th is a ratio between a ported and sealed enclosure and a 6th is two ported enclosures into one that have different frequencies. But, what are the benefits and downfalls of both enclosures? And what are some good subwoofers for both of them? Plan on upgrading my amp later on but no guarantee so kind of flipped on whether to get high power rms subs now or get some like 1500rms and wire to half. All input appreciated!

I tried, but everything just said that one is a ported and sealed and another saying that its 2 ported boxes, not anything involving the output of them or anything like that.
when they say efficiency, it also means output both enclosures if done right, get a good bit louder than ported. More important thing is bandwidth, you are giving up quite a lot with 4th orders since they tend to peak hard in a small range of frequencies, generally very good for high db scores with very little power input if you design a high ratio 4th order. It can also be made for music if you dont like anything above 60hz. Subs need to work well in a sealed box in order for it to work in a 4th order with a low EBP rating.

6th orders have two peaks and have a U shaped sound to them. They can get loud both up top and down low but are extremely tricky to design and get right.

With either enclosure, just make sure you have a lot of wood money to experiment because chances are, you wont get it right the first or second time.

I have someone doing the design and building it for me and he has a lot of experience with 6th orders. He just needs me to find what woofers i guess.
