4ohm + 8ohm = What?

I have 2 4ohm coaxs, I am adding 2- 8 ohm tweeters, by tapping into the coax speaker wire. What load will 4ohm+8ohm put out?

Don't do it.

If you want more treble, either EQ it or just get brighter speakers...

well if you just tap in to the line youll burn up the tweeters by sending them a low signal.

get yourself an ampwith xover settings

Sounding like ***, mostly. You'll ruin any good chance at getting a coherent image, because you'll have high frequencies coming from two different directions.

Now, if sounding good isn't a priority, go for it.

I already have an amp....HPF is on! and the tweeters have the built in xover.

High frequencies are down low where the door speakers are!
