4ga Wire Terminal

I'm trying to upgrade my power wire to 4ga but my amp is having a very hard time accepting the 4ga terminal. If I take the edges of the terminals down a bit with a grinder, they will probably fit. Should there be a problem with this? My amp manual just says to use 10ga or bigger.

Whether you trim the terminal or the wire, doesn't it all equal out? Just figured taking a bit out of the middle of the wire would be a little easier. And you won't have stubs sticking out all over as you if you trimmed the outside. Just my .02.

Well, this will be a temporary fix until I upgrade my amp. Why I upgraded my wire before my amp, I have no ****ing idea. I'm dumb.

Grounded the terminals down and they fit like a charm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
