I am about to install an Orion XTR1400.1 in my truck. The amp is rated at 1400rms at 4ohms. It has 2 pairs of imputs for power. I was planning on running two runs of 0ga for it but I am broke at the moment but I do have 100ft of Scoche 4ga wire laying around. Would two runs of 4ga be sutible for this amp? The amp has 180 amps of fuses in it.

well since you dont have the money atm, why dont you use the 4 gauge for now (2 runs can), then when you do have the cash get the 1/0. jeez
I would like to do it only once. I currently dont have my system in because I was waiting on wire.

Or, a short enough 4 gauge will also do it

distance is also pretty important to consider

If it's within 4 feet from the battery you're all set to go XD

8ft to 20ft you'd need 2 gauge

therefore just use two 4 gauge wires
