4ch vs 2ch amp kit?

I will be getting a cadence 6004 soon in the mail and need to buy a new 4ga amp kit to hook it up. I have seen some 4 channel amp kits and am wondering what they are for, using common knowledge i assume they are for front left/right, rear left/right channels. I will only be using the amp for front left/right, and having the other two channels bridged to a sub. Do i need a 4ch or 2ch kit, i assume 2ch but it doesnt hurt to ask and avoid a mispurchase. Also if i need a 4ch will i be fine going with a 2ch cause i already have an rca run to my existing amp, and will be getting another rca with the kit.

I am unfamiliar with the hookups on a 4 channel amp, do i have to have a 4channel rca, b/c i wont even be using 4 channels.

to me it seems too cheap, but just wondering what your opinion is.

You don't have to have a 4ch RCA wire. You could just use 2 2ch RCA wires.

Im pretty sure i cleared this up, for some reason i was thinking that it was the same two wire rca, with 2 channels on each, but from what i can tell that doesnt exist. I assume that the 4 channel rca is just 4 wire rca hookups.

One question while you may be browsing this, how should i go about running the speaker wire to the components that will be in my door. Right now i have the power goin down the left floor plate near the door, and the rca going down the right floor plate. I need to be able to run speaker wire to both doors, and am not so sure about running speaker wire near that power wire.

Or you could use two 2male-1female adapter things.. divides your pre-out, so a 4ch amp only takes one channel.

You could pretty much wrap the speaker wire around the power wire without any ill effects (other than wasting a bunch of speakers wire and the coil itself adding inductance to the wiring path). Signal is AC, power is DC they don't affect each other appreciably.

yea i bought the adapters and the ones i got were actually one male 2 female on each adapter....i only had one set of pre outs..since i use my stock deck..so that sucked

Yeah.. either way works... It's just the ones I said only take up one set of RCA's... Which is nice if you use expensive RCA's.
